Dance and Share Week at The Dance Lab
Friends and family are invited to attend classes during our final week of winter classes. We want to share our dancing, creativity, and imagination!
Remember to bring your cameras! Each student will receive a special end of session suprise to take home.
FEB 18, 2012 -- STORY DANCE
(NOTE: Story Dance in Feb. is on the third Saturday of the month)
11am to noon
Designed for 3 to 6 year old boys and girls
Story Dance is a uniquely creative experience infusing story time with Creative Movement. Each Story Dance begins with yoga stretches. Movement games build coordination and motor skills with the use of instruments, world music, and songs. The reading of a themed picture book becomes the inspiration for a student created dance. An art activity concludes each Story Dance.

Ballet for Fun! is a Ballet class designed with fun in mind. Whether you are an aspiring dancer, a former dancer, or simply looking for a fun workout the dancer’s way, than Ballet for Fun! is the class for you. This class includes exercises at the Ballet Barre for placement, strength, balance, and coordination. These fundamentals carry on with center work, adding combinations for mind and body strengthening. Class continues with across-the-floor dances to incorporate the joy of dancing. We conclude with a calming, cool down or Reverance. All abilities welcome.

Pilates is a system of flowing exercises designed to strengthen the core and lengthen the muscles, engaging both the body and mind. Pilates works from the inside out with control and precision. The design of the Pilates mat class allows students to work individually on a mat, in seated, lying, and standing positions.
